Executive Vice-President and Head of Real Estate

Rana Ghorayeb has been Executive Vice-President and Head of Real Estate at La Caisse since May 2024, where she is responsible for the real estate strategy and investments, which now include the activities formerly carried out as Ivanhoé Cambridge. As part of her duties, she is a member of the organization’s Executive Committee and Investment-Risk Committee.

From 2019 to 2024, Ms. Ghorayeb was President and Chief Executive Officer of Otéra Capital, at that time a La Caisse subsidiary specializing in commercial real estate financing. She joined La Caisse in 2012 as Senior Vice-President of the Infrastructure team, where she led international investments and asset management.

Prior to joining La Caisse, Ms. Ghorayeb was Vice President of Acquisitions at JP Morgan Asset Management in London, where she was responsible for real estate investments in several European countries. She has also worked in New York, where she held the position of Senior Associate – Transactions at TIAA, a major US pension fund.

Ms. Ghorayeb holds a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Planning and a Master of Engineering in Construction Management, both from Concordia University, as well as a Master of Science in Finance from New York University.

CONNECTIONS

Committed to the community, Ms. Ghorayeb is a member of Concordia University’s Board of Governors and Real Estate Planning Committee, as well as the Advisory Board of the Gina Cody School of Engineering and Computer Science. She was appointed to the CHUM Foundation Campaign Cabinet and to the MMFA Foundation 2023–2028 Major Fundraising Campaign Cabinet.

Ms. Ghorayeb has received several awards, including the King Charles III Coronation Medal in 2025, the 2025 CREW M Tribute Award and the Inspiration 2022 Award from the Association des femmes en finances du Québec (AFFQ). She was also named International Alumni of the Year by New York University and received the 2019 Cedar and Maple Award from the Lebanon-Canada Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
