Natarajan Venkatram

Natarajan Venkatram (Venkat) is Managing Director and Head of India. He contributes actively to the international team’s efforts to execute La Caisse’s global strategic vision, notably by supporting several asset classes, including infrastructure, real estate and private equity. He also works with the region’s senior leadership team to strengthen relationships with the financial and business communities, in addition to representing La Caisse with key stakeholders across government, regulatory bodies and industry associations.

Mr. Venkat has more than 40 years of experience in capital mobilization, mergers and acquisitions, governance and strategy. Before joining La Caisse in 2024, he spent 30 years at Deloitte, including eight years as CEO and Managing Partner of Deloitte South Asia. During this mandate, the organization was able to grow its revenues 4.8 times.

Mr. Venkat holds an accounting degree and is a Chartered Accountant. He is currently a part‑time member of the Board of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), in addition to serving on the Takeover Panel and the High-Powered Committee on Settlements. He also sits on the Confederation of the Indian Industry’s National Council where he chairs the Committee on Financial Reporting. He is also a member of the India Executive Leadership Board of the US‑India Strategic Partnership Forum, the Advisory Board of the Canada‑India Business Council and the Indo‑Canadian Business Chamber.
