Propelling the REM, shaping the future.
A structuring transportation network
The Réseau express métropolitain (REM) is one of the longest automated metro lines in the world.
With its 67-km route and 26 stations, the light rail network, which is currently being deployed, will serve Greater Montréal. It will contribute to the region’s development and generate long-term returns for Quebecers.
A network that already links Montréal, the South Shore and the North Shore
Following the commissioning of the first branch between Brossard and Central Station in July 2023, the network was extended to Deux-Montagnes in November 2025.
Once fully deployed, REM will connect not only downtown, the South Shore and the North Shore, but also the West Island and the airport.
