Yana Watson Kakar

Yana Watson Kakar is Managing Director and Head of Americas. Based in New York, she leads La Caisse’s activities across the United States, working closely with the heads of asset classes to advance investment strategy, deepen strategic partnerships, and support the growth and performance of La Caisse’s portfolio across private equity, fixed income, real estate, infrastructure and public markets.

Before joining La Caisse, Yana was Global Managing Partner of Dalberg, a multinational advisory firm, and CEO of a sustainable investment company.

She serves on the Boards of Directors of the Foreign Policy Association and Oxfam America, and is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, Young President’s Organization, the Women’s Forum of New York, and 100 Women in Finance. She has been widely published, including in Bloomberg, The Economist, The Financial Times, Forbes, The Guardian, and Yahoo! Finance.

Yana holds an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Arts from McGill University.
