Profil
Susan Kudzman was named Executive Vice-President and Chief Risk Officer of the Caisse on April 30, 2009. In this capacity, she is responsible for all risk management activities and for implementation of the plan regarding enhancement of risk management, an issue that is a top priority for the institution. In addition, Ms. Kudzman chairs the Risks Committee (RC) and the RC-Transactions Committee and is also a member of the Executive Committee.
Background
Ms. Kudzman has an extensive background in risk and liability management in the pension sector.
She joined the Caisse in 2005 as Senior Vice-President, Risk Management and Return, and was promoted to Executive Vice-President, Depositors and Risks, in April 2006. Under her leadership in this role, the Caisse was able to consolidate its relations with its depositors and better meet the needs of its clients.
Prior to joining the Caisse, Ms. Kudzman held a variety of positions, including Chief Corporate Officer at BCE Emergis, from 2000 to 2005. She also worked for more than 15 years as an actuarial consultant for the firms of Towers Perrin and Mercer.
Ms. Kudzman has a bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science from Université Laval. She is a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries and the U.S.-based Society of Actuaries (SOA) and was recently awarded the designation of Chartered Enterprise Risk Analyst (CERA) by the SOA.
Connections
Ms. Kudzman chairs the Board of Directors of the Quartier international de Montréal (QIM) and is a member of the Board of Les Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montréal. She is regularly asked to speak at events held by such organizations as the Laboratoire d’actuariat of the Université de Montréal, the Canadian Institute of Actuaries, the Cercle finance du Québec and the Pension Summit, a prestigious global forum for pension fund managers.
