The Organization
A Structure in line with the Challenges Ahead
The Caisse’s organizational structure enables it to react quickly to the growing complexity of its role as an investor. This structure reflects the Caisse’s determination to be in line with the best possible governance practices. It also aims to make the most of its human and material resources.
Board of Directors and its Committees
The Board, which can have up to 15 members, sets the Caisse’s major orientations. It also ensures that the Caisse operates in accordance with its legal requirements and that it adopts the measures required to fulfill its mission. Four committees assist the Board in carrying out its activities, three of which consist of independent members only.
Management and its Committees
The President and Chief Executive Officer has the ultimate responsibility for managing the institution. He defines the Caisse’s major orientations and manages its day-to-day activities. He is the head of the Executive Committee, which is made up of the Caisse’s senior officers.
The Executive Committee advises the President and Chief Executive Officer regarding major decisions concerning the management of the Caisse. To this end, it develops a framework for daily activities and performs a follow-up on this framework with the support of four sub-committees.
MULTIDISCIPLINARY TEAMS
The activities of the Caisse’s specialists are divided into two main groups: the investment groups, which are responsible for managing the Caisse’s investments, and the general services groups, which support and complement these management teams.
The following is an overview of the main teams. For more information, click on the interactive organization chart and select a team or committee.
