At the Heart of the Caisse’s Profession
The Caisse’s profession consists of investing on financial markets throughout the world, using a wide variety of strategies and increasingly sophisticated products. At the heart of this profession is the leading-edge expertise of investment teams grouped around three major sectors:
- the liquid investments sector, managed by the Investment Division
- the private equity sector
- the real estate sector
Liquid Investments
These investments are managed by the Investment Division sector. They are called "liquid investments" because they can be bought and sold quickly on financial markets. Stocks, bonds and Treasury bills are examples of these investments. Overlay strategies aimed at better managing risks complement these investments.
The Investment Division also performs research and investment activities in order to enhance the return on the Caisse’s overall portfolio. For more information.
This sector includes three teams:
Private Equity
This team makes investments in the form of capital and loans to businesses. It invests in two ways: directly in companies or through specialized funds.
For more information.
Real Estate group
This team manages investments, loans and other financial products in the real estate sector. The real estate portfolio extends worldwide and primarily includes office buildings and business parks, shopping centres, hotels as well as residential buildings. For more information.
Three companies make up the Real Estate group: Ivanhoe Cambridge, Otéra Capital, SITQ.
