Claudette Carbonneau holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and is the first woman to serve as President of the Confédération des syndicats nationaux (CSN), a position she has held since 2002. She is also Chair of Fondaction and Vice-President of the General Council of the International Trade Union Confederation and First Substitute of the Canadian delegation to the ITUC General Council. Ms. Carbonneau is also a member of the Québec government’s Advisory Council on Labour and Manpower.
