Caisse Presidents
High-Calibre Directors
Since the Caisse was created, six highly-experienced directors have been in charge of its management. They have maintained a long-term vision that has made the Caisse an internationally-renowned institution.
For many years, the positions of Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer were held by the same individual. Since 2005, under new corporate governance rules, the positions of Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer are now separate. The six heads of the Caisse along with the years in which they were appointed are shown below:
1966
Mr. Claude Prieur becomes the first Chairman and General Manager of the Caisse.
1973
Mr. Marcel Cazavan takes over as Chairman and General Manager.
1980
Mr. Jean Campeau begins a 10-year mandate with the same responsibilities.
1990
As a result of an amendment to the Act that splits the position of Chairman and General Manager, Mr. Jean-Claude Delorme becomes Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer and Mr. Guy Savard becomes President and Chief of Operations.
1995
These two positions are once again united and Mr. Jean-Claude Scraire is appointed Chairman of the Board and General Manager.
2002
Mr. Henri-Paul Rousseau joins the Caisse as Chairman of the Board and General Manager.
2005
Further to changes in the Caisse’s governance rules, Mr. Pierre Brunet becomes Chairman of the Board while Mr. Henri-Paul Rousseau continues to manage the Caisse as President and Chief Executive Officer.
2008
Mr. Richard Guay becomes President and Chief Executive Officer.
2009
Mr. Fernand Perreault is appointed President and Chief Executive Officer.
Mr. Robert Tessier takes over as Chairman of the Board.
