Actions Affecting Handicapped Persons

Accessibility and Integration Measures

Under the laws respecting the exercise of the rights of handicapped persons, the Caisse has developed an action plan to reduce barriers to their reception and integration. It has thus far introduced several accessibility measures and it intends to continue implementing them.

Handicapped persons are one of the five groups that the Caisse specifically covers in its Statement on Equal Access to Employment.

Access to Public Documents
The Caisse wants to be accessible to handicapped people who need to contact it. To ensure hearing-impaired and visually impaired people have access to certain corporate documents on its operations that it produces for the general public, the Caisse has taken the necessary measures to produce on request:

  • Versions in Braille, large-print, audio or adapted e-text format;
  • DVD formats with reading options, including Québec Sign Language (QSL) or American Sign Language (ASL).
