The Caisse’s advisory role is central to its partnership with its depositors. Each client, with the support of the Caisse’s specialists and consulting experts in some instances, develops an investment policy that defines its needs, the composition of its benchmark portfolio, its performance objectives and the level of risk it considers acceptable.

The advisory services provided to the depositors include the following:

• Financial and market analyses, including presentations on the outlook for the economy;
• Risk and return forecasts for each type of investment;
• Simulations of fund allocations for different types of investments in order to determine the benchmark portfolio’s optimal composition;
• Studies and presentations on investment policy trends;
• Recommendations regarding changes in the investment policy;
• Training sessions in finance and information on portfolio management and on the Caisse’s management activities.
